CONCRETE RESISTANCE TO INDUSTIAL TYPES OF CORROSIONS
"Korvest Engineering" LTD, Australia,

Galvanic Plant.

The concrete floor damaged by sulfuric and hydrochloric acids

and ammonium chloride solution was repaired by regular

concrete mix containing 7.5 Kg/m3 of KALMATRON KF-A.

The part of the floor at the picture protected by regular

concrete with KF-A performed stable resistance of cementitious

matrix to corrosion.

Determined, that application of fly ash, volcanic or dolomite

types of the aggregates cause excessive sorption of aggressive

media with they consequent corrosion.
Typical damages of concrete caused by the standard concrete chemical corrosion resistance. Shown massive deposits of

metal rust and calcite exuding from the surface.

"KORVEST ENGINEERING" LTD, Australia:
"Cement matrix with KALMATRON® KF-A has been stronger than coarse aggregate."

TAM International, LTD, Australia

Repair of the manholes of industrial drainage by KALMATRON® KF-B, prepared as a slurry water solution.

Condition of manhole before KF-B application.
Electric compressor with a hopper is used for KF-B delivery

and spray on a distance at 150'.
Just after KF-B slurry application. All metal elements are removed to stop

metal- concrete mutual corrosion.
The enter to the manhole is repaired, but metal frame has been left not isolated

from concrete. Ion- kation exchange will destroy it completely.
Step by step KF-B application down into the manhole resulted in a smooth and solid remedial layer. The significance

of this job is that none of preparation and cleaning was done before. Also, there is no curing procedure needed

there. There are no layer slidings, cracks, and recolaration were found after.
